At PrivaShield, your privacy is our single highest priority. PrivaShield is designed from the ground up as a zero-trust, 100% client-side Chrome Extension engineered to prevent sensitive data leaks when using Web AI applications.

1. Zero Data Collection & Remote Transmission

PrivaShield does NOT collect, store, track, transmit, or monetize any of your personal data, prompt inputs, API keys, emails, phone numbers, credit card numbers, or browsing history.

• No Remote Servers: All PII detection and redaction logic runs strictly inside your local browser instance.
• No Analytics or Telemetry: We do not use any third-party tracking scripts, analytics, or telemetry services.
• No External Network Requests: The extension makes zero outgoing network calls to external servers.

2. Permissions Justifications

PrivaShield requests only the minimal necessary Chrome permissions required to perform local input redaction on active AI web platforms:

• storage: Used strictly to store your local preference toggles (e.g., enabling/disabling specific redaction rules) and maintain total redaction counts locally.
• activeTab & scripting: Used to inspect input fields and dispatch redacted prompts when you press Enter or click the Send icon.
• host_permissions (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Doubao): Required exclusively to detect prompt submission events on supported Web AI chat interfaces.

3. Data Storage & Local Security

All extension settings and redaction statistics are saved strictly within Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your machine. This data never leaves your personal device and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data.

4. Single Purpose Compliance

PrivaShield complies fully with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the Single Purpose Requirement and Limited Use disclosures.
